The Federation of Free Citizens

The Federation of Free Citizens is a new country organized as a global government and business. It is operated as a parent cooperative that consists of a network of semi-autonomous member cooperatives. Member cooperatives are distributed throughout the globe based on geographical region. The political structure of the federation is organized as a parliament with a tripartite system.

The Federation grants each Free Citizen rights and describes the obligations of its Owners/Members as detailed in the constitution.

Our mission is to establish a global government that is ethical, just, responsible, and fully controlled by its ordinary citizens.

The FOFC believes in building and development. We do not seek out conflict. Our goal is to create a prosperous and stable society that does not prey on people economically and respects the contributions of its citizens.

Please come join us and help to build the kind of community and society that you want to live in!

What is a Federation?

DEFINITION: FEDERATION

  1. an encompassing political or societal entity formed by uniting smaller or more localized entities: such as

    1.  a federal government

    2.  a union of organizations

WIKIPEDIA - FEDERATION

A federation (also known as a federal state) is a political entity characterized by a union of partially self-governing provinces, states, or other regions under a central federal government (federalism). In a federation, the self-governing status of the component states, as well as the division of power between them and the central government, is typically constitutionally entrenched and may not be altered by a unilateral decision of either party, the states or the federal political body. Alternatively, a federation is a form of government in which sovereign power is formally divided between a central authority and a number of constituent regions so that each region retains some degree of control over its internal affairs.

What is a Free Citizen?

FREE CITIZEN - Declaration and recognition of intrinsic individual sovereignty.

  1. All life has a right to exist.

  2. Furthermore, all people have a right to exist—Independently, and freely, wherever they may choose to reside.

  3. The FREE CITIZENS of this earth are intrinsically sovereign entities unto themselves. Authority is a social construct derived from the permission granted by one person to another, or from a person to an organization.

  4. Free Citizens are people who choose to join the Federation and become an Owner/Member, a legal co-owner of the government and a citizen.

What is a Cooperative?

DEFINITION: COOPERATIVE

  1. an enterprise or organization owned by and operated for the benefit of those using its services.

WIKIPEDIA - COOPERATIVE

A cooperative (also known as co-operative, co-op, or coop) is "an autonomous association of persons united voluntarily to meet their common economic, social, and cultural needs and aspirations through a jointly-owned enterprise".[1] Cooperatives are democratically owned by their members, with each member having one vote in electing the board of directors. Cooperatives may include:

  • businesses owned and managed by the people who use their services (a consumer cooperative)

  • organizations managed by the people who work there (worker cooperatives)

  • multi-stakeholder or hybrid cooperatives that share ownership between different stakeholder groups. For example, care cooperatives where ownership is shared between both caregivers and receivers. Stakeholders might also include non-profits or investors.

  • second- and third-tier cooperatives whose members are other cooperatives

  • platform cooperatives that use a cooperatively owned and governed website, mobile app, or a protocol to facilitate the sale of goods and services.

WIKIPEDIA - PARLIAMENT

In modern politics and history, a parliament is a legislative body of government. Generally, a modern parliament has three functions: representing the electorate, making laws, and overseeing the government via hearings and inquiries. The term is similar to the idea of a senate, synod, or congress.

WIKIPEDIA - FEDERALISM

Usually, a federation is formed at two levels: the central government and the regions (states, provinces, territories), and little to nothing is said about second or third level administrative political entities. Brazil is an exception because the 1988 Constitution included the municipalities as autonomous political entities making the federation tripartite, encompassing the Union, the States, and the municipalities.
